alternate sump refugium to the Trigger Systems Ruby 30S

Any suggestions on a more cost effective alternate if I dont want to build my own? Would you put skimmer in first compartment? Any additional filter media before the return pump?

This is how I have mine setup.

First Section: Skimmer and reactor pump
Second Section: Refugium with two heaters
Third Section: Return pump and return from reactor
