Live Rock Help

I have a 55gal DT with dry rock and dry sand, 30gal sump with 10bl live rock in a fug. My tank have been setup for 2 1/2 months. I notice today that my sump live rock in a fug. have a lot of creature like worms on live rocks and some in a DT dry rock. I am not sure is this bad or good for my tank. Please advise.

Thanks,

Possibly bristleworms. Most people think they're a good thing.

It's hard to say without pictures, but most of the worms that end up in our tanks are safe. Eventually the bugs and worms that were brought in on the live rock in your refugium will spread out all over the tank. Populations rise and fall in cycles. One month you'll see worms everywhere, and the next month it might be brittle starfish or snails. It's one of the reasons why so many people enjoy looking at their tanks after the lights go out. It's always a bit different from the last time you looked.

I had a bristle worm kill my tube anemone. Well, I didn't actually see it happen but this is my suspicion. I got him out of there after that!

Yesterday I saw a big one that crawl out of the live rock in Fug. When I get closer they hide away. It look ugly to me. I am just going to leave it in there for now. Do they crawl out of the tank?
