Easiest Way to Cycle/Seed 10 gal QT
I have a 55 gallon going fallow at the moment from an ich outbreak so I can't use anything from it to seed my 10 gallon QT i'm setting up for new arrivals. For the time interval I'm planning I do not have time for a traditional, long, drawn out cycle. So i was wondering....would buying a piece of LR from the same tank I'm brining the new fish in work? I also have API quick start that was given to me free (bacteria booster) claims instant fish addition that I can add along...or should I just do frequent water changes. I plan to keep maybe 2 fish at a time in the QT at a time.

No rock in a QT. Use some pvc pipe for hiding places. No cycle needed either. You can just do daily water changes.

You basically have two choices:
1. Long drawn out cycle 2. Daily water changes
