pro's tell me your backup setups
So standby generators are $2000+ usually around $8000. what do some of you more experienced reef keepers use that is maybe more economical? clue me in!
I have thought about the auto battery air pumps and if i have to i will but i would rather a generator. is there a smaller self starting generator system out there that would be good for aquariums? i have thought about keeping a small normal generator in my back room and getting a power loss alarm to wake me up if its in the middle of the night then just hooking it up if need be. but if im out of town and have a tank sitter this wont be a time effective option

I have a computer Un interruptible power supply that I bought from best buy that runs one of my power heads it will circulate water in a power failure for about 5 hours I think. If its going to be longer than that I have a large marine deep cycle battery and an inverter I use. Always wanted a generator but I rent so im not going to instal a standby gen and I just haven't found the right mobile gen.
