hey guys! I was wondering if anybody knew how to properly light a tank without timers or anything for that matter. I have the ati sunpower 6x54. So i was wondering how to light the tank when i am not home. As of now i cant. Is there a certain power strip to buy for this? idk. Any help thankyou

You can pick up a timer pretty cheap at one of the big box LFS. I use one on my small tank.

I use this one, it is easy to program and has worked flawlessly.
GE 15 Amp Model # 15079, it's about 15 bucks at home depot.

get a timer much more stable. you can pick up a cheap timer at walmart for less then 10$. or if you have multiple lights the coralife timers control 2 daytime lights and alternate with 2 nighttime lights for a reverse light fuge. they are about 35$. if there is no coral in the tank fish really dont require much light.
