RO//DI Silly Question
Ok. I have a silly question. I read all over how people hate wasting all the waste RO water. I read some people run waste water back into the house water so my question its why doesn't anyone run the waste water back into the incoming water line with a T our a like. This way the waste filtered water goes back into the RODI filter to be split again. This way only outbound water its the RODI water. Any thoughts or comments?

it lowers the life of the membrance, as you are feeding it much much dirtier water.

Cause it will clog up your filters faster. The waste water is full of the stuff we are trying to remove from the water in the first place. It is never a dumb question if you dont know the answer.

Definitely a good thought, but you'd be spending much more money on additional filters/membranes than you'd spend on the waste water going down the drain.
