Cuc?
Just got my CUC and after 4 hours 1/2 of them havent move assuming dead. If tomorrow still havent move, should I take them out before fouling the water?
Also, what type of snails that are little bigger and can clean better? I got diatom algae right now, thanks |

What kind if snails do you have now? Was the CUC shipped to you or did you purchase at a LFS? How did you acclimate them to your tank? What type of critters did you get? Knowing what you currently have can help with giving suggestions on what you may need. If they were shipped they can take 24-48 hours to recover from the shock if shipping, if not they may take up to 24 hrs to get moving again.

BTW, some snails need to be placed properly as they can't flip themselves over. It's also pretty easy to tell if the died after 24 hrs have past, just smell them, if they got the rotten/old fishy smell they're done for, if they lack a smell or smell like saltwater they're still kicking.

unless he is visibly decomposing i would simply leave him be. just cuz its not moving dose not mean its dead, they are primarily nocturnal anyway.
