Skimmer water level not staying constant
Does anybody know why the water level in my skimmer doesnt stay constant. Goes up and down. Its a reef octopus nwb150. It was working fine until i added a sponge in my return to trap bubbles and by doing so my water level changed thinking tht may have thrown my skimmer off. Adjusted the level and It still is not functioning properly. Also it is brand new. Hasnt been running longer then the suggested break in period so im sure that plays a part in its performance. Is there anything i can do to fix this?

do you have a baffle in your sump that regulates the water level that the skimer sits in?
if yes, then letting it break in and actually begin skimming would be my next suggestion. |
