T5's with AI SOLs
I planned on buying ReefGeeks T5 2x80w 60" LET retrofit kit for my 180 gallon that currently has 3 AI SOLs on it. I want to add more spectrum that LEDs just don't have.
I planning on getting one Blue Plus and one Purple Plus. Does this sound like enough to pick up the purples, reds, and pinks? I don't have a canopy so it will take some work for this to look nice...

I think with your setup adding the T5's would be difficult at best. Do you intend to hang the T5's on the outside of the AI's if so you will lose a fair amount of the color you want and without sheilding the light on the outside of the tank it my detract from the tank.
If you are into a little DIY I bought some 1" x 1" X what ever length you want aluminum U channel painted them black and built some small led sumplemental lighting bars I drilled a hole at each end and mounted them inbetween my AI's One nice thing is you can use whatever colors you want, and if you buy the solderless leds (I think there are out now) it makes it really easy to change the color if you want.
