diatom bloom

i have this very annoying issue of brown algea growing my nitrates 0. dont know what to do i have read different things do 10%, 20%30% of water changes let it grow it will die out. take out the rocks and clean them and cyphon the sand twice a week one week turn off the lights and such, but the best idea that i like is to leave the lights on and let it consume all of its food supply. but what is the food supply am reading here that are nutrients thats feeding it. my question is where are these nutrients coming from? the phosphate level are 0.25 so where is this dam diatom bloom getting is food supply from ammonia 0 nitrite 0.

the test kit i got reads from 0 and the next up is .25 but it looks like its in between 0 and .25 its almost yellow. but i say its .25. i dont know what TDS mean. and am using coralife salt. am not using RO/DI water yet since i havent purchased the system yet. but from what am reading looks like everyone goes thru this stage on newly made tanks. am going to get a sand sifting star fish and snails as a clean up crew would like an orchin but i read they eat algea like water and then i have to feed it something else after all the algea is gone. how long those this diatom bloom last for? approximate since every ones set up is different.
