10G filtration

Hi,
I have a 10g with ~15KG LS (DSB) and 5.5KG LR. Can i run it without any filtration if i keep two true percs, a small anemone and maybe some algae.
Thanks!!

You'll have to do consistent weekly water changes.

i would have to say a 10g is to small to keep 2 clowns long term. there are some gobies better suited for that size tank

absolutely no anemone, none that are capable of hosting clowns anyway. Your tank is just too small.

I agree, 10g is too small for a pair of full grown clowns. With a 10g, you're rather limited to fish options, and you probably shouldn't stock more than 1 fish. A pygmy wrasse would be a good choice, as would clown gobies, neon gobies, or pretty much anything that stays under 2-2.5" that doesn't rely on live food to survive (which means NO mandarins). You could also do a symbiotic pistol shrimp/shrimp goby combo.

The margin of error in small tanks is razor-thin. They require almost daily attention and a keen eye for developing problems.

Once you get no3 and po4 under control, a 10-20% weekly water change should be sufficient. Obviously, if no3 is rising faster than the weekly water change can remove it, you'll either need to cut back on nutrient addition (most likely from feeding) or increase the volume of the weekly water change.

A 10g with a DSB and 15 kg rock? I'd love to see a picture I can't imagine more than about 5g of usable tank for fish!

You can def. go without filtration and just say 20% weekly water changes BUT in my opinion that is too small for 2 clowns especially with a DSB. I'd just do maybe an inch and a half. Look into maybe clown gobies, shrimp or MAYBE one clown.
