Question would you use these drums for storage?

my brute cans leach TONS of phosphates. im wondering if you would trust these drums?

I have been using two for about four months now. I haven't had any problems.

I did clean them out for about a week and left them out in the hot sun to pull the juice smell out.

if i bought some vinegar and soaked them, you think it will be fine?
i already contacted them.

I think thy would be fine, cant see any reason why not? I use a new 5 gal trash container.

Picking 2 up for $20 a piece tonight!! They have the lids also. Now to find something a little bigger than my 5gallon bucket for my ATO.

What did you have in them before? LDPE shouldn't leach any phosphates.

Thery're rated "food grade" meaning they don't leach anything. Read the arrowed triangle on the bottom. If you can deciper the acronyms.

The brute cans?
Testing the ro/di water (as its being made)with a hanna reader i get .02, when i test the water sitting in the brute can for 2 days or more i get .50 or higher...

We have brute cans and we leach nothing. They have only seen fresh mixed salt water ro just plain RO/DI water.

Same here? Main/only purpose of these are for the tank.

But somehow i am getting.phosphates in the water from sitting. Lid is always on.
