Is how should I go about swapping everything from my current tank to my new tank I plan on taking 50-60 gals from my old tank and putting it in my new tank once the swap beings but what else should I do?

Get Dr. Tim's "One and Only" to help minimize cycling effects. If this involves a move into a new living space then get a lot of 5 gallon buckets and maybe some smaller Brute trash cans for transport. Try to have some saltwater mixed and ready to go just in case anything goes wrong.

I have switched tanks but made sure that all water parameters were as close as possible. Sounds like your water swap is a good step in the right direction. I would think you are changing lights too? This may also stress corals if the new light is more or less intense than in the old tank.

Forgot to mention that I swapped tanks after the new one had completely cycled with the new rock required for my upgrade.
