Email Alert!!! RKE or Apex users....

Hey guys:
just wanted to know what service is being used on ur RKE or Apex for email alerts.
i was using gmx.com as my smtp server but recently they blocked their service just like gmail,hotmail etc so i am not getting email notifications anymore.
Can some check their settings and make sure ur up and running and please share their email server so i can make an account with them too.

Just got my little Christmas goodie (Apex Lite), hooked up a few hours ago. I used my Comcast.net (also my ISP) email account w/ no problems even used the default port settings.

I'm using GMX with my Apex, still works as of two minutes ago. I set it up over 3 months ago and haven't touched it since.

Ok cool then it might be something on my end. What port r u using 587 or 465 or 25?

yup my GMX works as well. . . no idea what port, i set it up so long ago.

Weird, I just tested my email alert due to this thread and mine also does not work. It sends the text alert just fine, but does not send the email alert. Also using GMX and port 587 here. Will let you guys know if I figure it out..

EDIT: Well that was easy. For some reason, they are going into my spam now. I have not marked it as spam, or changed any settings so I'm not sure why it would do this. Perhaps this is your fix as well.

lol this is funny. i have apex and rke side by side on mt tank. apex was sending alerts to spam via GMX account. while i have the same account and settings on rke and it fails each time i send test email. i copy pasted everything from apex to rke and apex works while rke dont.
i fixed the apex emails from going to spam as well and now that work.
any idea on rke?

When you set it up on the apex you have to make sure you reboot the apex. I couldn't get it working until after i saved settings and restarted the apex.

apex is working, rke is not. i have both units and same settings on both.
