Vertex Alpha 170 for a 75 gallon?
Hello,
I am putting together a 75 gallon aquarium with a 30 gallon sump that I would like to be sps dominated in the future. I would also like to plumb a frag tank to this at some point down the line that will likely be 20 to 30 gallons in volume. The system will be in my bedroom and as such needs to be quite quiet. Will a Vertex Alpha 170 would be a suitable skimmer for this purpose or are there better options? I am willing to spend some money now if it means peace of mind in the future. |

I run a Alpha 170 on a 75 with a 30 gallon sump and it does a great job!
