Question Frag tank build

So this will be my fourth salt water tank and this time i will keep my 60 cube downstairs, my fresh tank upstairs but i have come across a 33 shallow that i want to create a frag tank with. I think i still have enough parts to piece this together. Just need some insight

So for light i have a Aquatic life T5 that was on my 60 gallon tall tank. This should be plenty for a 12 tall right? I mean there are people rocking out some stoneys with T5's right? I have a Radion on my 60 cube btw.

I already have a skimmer, power heads, and i am going to use my old 60 as my sump tank. My neighbor who has a 150 is going to go halfs on everything for this tank. Should be a neat project and i will be videoing/documenting the whole thing.

So just any general suggestions on a frag tank to get it rocking as soon as possible?

Sounds like you kinda have it all figured out . With that 60 gal sump you will have plenty of room for your filtration needs!

What do you plan on keeping for the most part?

Frag tank

I'm curious about how you are going to set up your systems, will the frag tank run on the same sump as your reef tank? Have you considering using a refigium for enhanced filtration? How did you come across the shallow tank (I'd like to find one)

I've had amazing results using LED lighting and it's very easy to do yourself. Check out www.rapidled.com and their solderless kits, there is also a few YouTube videos that walk you through assembly.

I found the tank on craigslist for 20 bucks for a 33 gallon shallow =). I was pretty stoked to find it. The only reason i was even looking is my girl bought me a gift card at the LFS and i bought a purple fire fish and two bangai cardinals. Needless to say i did not know my clowns were pregnant and they went after the new fish. I had to move them to a 10 gallon tank i had laying around so they did not get eaten. So with that i just thought why not setup a frag tank.

The frag tank will run on a completely seperate sump tank and i am actually considering a refugium on this tank. I do not run one on my cube 60, but i do have a 25 gallon sump tank. I already have the T5 so i was not considering buying more led lighting. I have a Radion LED on my 60 gallon and it rocks, but that is a lot of money i would rather not spend if i did not have to.
