Moving my tanks

I have to move my tanks upstairs for a remodeling project, that also includes an upgrade to a 265 gallon tank. I have heard that it is better to move a "dirty" tank, instead of one that has just had a WC. I am moving a bio cube 29 and a 40 breeder up, and I do a weekly 10 gallon WC on both. Do I move them after a week from the last WC, two weeks, or does it really matter? Thanks for the input.

I wouldn't think it makes much of a difference. I suppose there is a little stress put on the fish during a water change and following that up immediately with relocation would not be good. You are generally going to lose a fair amount of water during the move (the dirty water from the sand bed) so I don't see any reason to make a water change just prior to a move.
