I LOVE IT!!!!! My 1 recommendation would be, as above, to remove the bridge. Instead, try flipping that piece of rock over and maybe put it on the top of that middle pile? Either that, or it may just need to be a sump rock. Either way, I think it looks excellent!

Last pic does look good. I see potential in possibly moving or removing the rock in the first 'island' to the left. The one lowest middle one. It should create a 'U' or 'V' look on the bottom. With that, you can add several small rocks where the previous bigger rock use to be. This should create more depth to the tank.

+1 base scape doesnt matter in detail down the road-you wont see it-as long as you leave room for everything to grow. looks great and there is a lot of room. Will be sweet to see down the road.
What are your plans? Reef? FOWLR?

The mistake I made was not leaving enough room on the sand for my LPS. Now I'm fighting for space down low. So I guess my advice would be leave more negative space on the sand then you think you need, unless your goal is SPS dominant.
I also wish I would have went with dry rock as opposed to all live rock. I really only had a small window of time to try and get something set up unless the rock was in the tank. For me, it was difficult to do when all your rock is sitting in the tank. If I had it to do over, I would use dry rock and bind everything together with epoxy and acrylic rods. But that will have to wait a few years until I upgrade.... |
