I need help with my 300 gallon

So I am in the process of seting up my 300 gallon 72"x36"x27" ..I am planning on running 3 -250 watt metal halides with radium bulbs .im trying to figure out what to go with for supplimental actinics .I like t5 s .should I go with 4x 72" t5s or 8-36" watt t5 also I need them to hang and reflect down so they dont interfear with the light from the metal halides .any ideas for me im open to almost anything ?

Why not go led for the supplemental lighting? Saves on space and you can use optics for the depth

Like which ones ? I have reefbrights on my 120 with 2 metal halides and the halides just totally drown out the leds

I think I would bjust go with the 72" t5's. They will do what you need them to do...

No such thing as 72" T5's, at least not for aquarium purposes. So, side by side 36" or 60" are you best bet. I'd suggest doing 4x60" ATI blue+ retrofits and mounting them into a canopy. It's going to be pretty blue combined with the Radium...

My friend has that exact tank sps dominant, and runs 3x250 watt mh and a few kessil a350s for supplement. Of course this is expensive but he gets amazing growth

I love kessils I have one on a frag tank and my bro has one on his 60 gallon cube .I have to try it out and see cause to me the led blues get washed away with the halides
