Ecoxotic Panorama Marine good?

It looks amazing. Dimmable and such. Sleek led fixture for 200. Setting up a 17.4 gallon fowlr at the moment but will add sps and such later on. Is it enough?

Might be good enough for everything else other than SPS... Most LED's required for growing SPS are of the more expensive kind. Even at that LED's aren't that great for SPS IMHO... Good luck...

I run the Panorama strips, they are great. Excellent penetration and color.

Panoramas are very powerful. With the rit combination you can grow sps no problem

I have read great reviews on them plus you can add more leds to them. Just saw that they make ones with the extra led for sps around $700+

I have these on my 90g (see signature). I am convinced I can grow a human from an embryo if I tried. Lights are amazing. LPS. SPS. Clams. No worries.

This is not the panorama pro fixture - it is a new fixture that ecoxotic have recently released. It looks interesting. I like the low profile. I am looking around for detailed specs.

There is a review of this fixture on reef_builders. It reads like a badly edited press release. Here is a quote from the article...

Quote:
The Gyre Frag Tank at RB HQ uses one of each of the Marine Panorama and Actinic Panorama LED fixtures to cover a 48 x 12 inch (120 x 30 centimer) area used and intended primarily for high light SPS corals. The use of two Panorama LED for this purpose is perfect for the really light hungry corals but we actually had to reduce the intensity and duration of the Marine colored LED striplight because it was causing some real lightening of the corals, nearly bleaching some Montipora and lower light Acros. We imagine we could get away using the same lighting on a 55 gallon aquarium with more height using this same configuration.
Which is interesting when you consider the PAR numbers that Ecoxotic have posted...

Ecoxotic Panorama Marine
Just got a 48" one myself. Probably going to get a second.

These lights are real bright. I fried a birdsnest and a monti cap with them. I would highly recommend a dimmer.

Mine came with two dimmers... one for the white, and one for the blue.

I'm ok with the lights just turning on and off, so for me I don't think I'll need a controller. Matter of fact I'm probably not going to use the dimmers.
