QT questions

What size tanks do you guys use for QT tanks? If you are planning on added multiple fish at the same time, do you have each fish in a different tank or put them in the same QT?

I am starting to get things together for a big build in the next year or two, so when the next $1/gallon sale at Petco happens, I was planning on getting an extra 40b or two. Just want to know if that should be enough because I want to do a 240 DT, with 3 tangs, Regal, Powder Blue, and Yellow, I want to have as little aggression as possible. So I was thinking of adding them at the same time after the tank has been setup 6-12 months, but I am looking for opinions.

I will be getting them small because I want to have them grow up in my tank, but again I want what is best for the fish, so I want to know the best way to QT multiple fish.

Any advice is welcome.

I am actually setting several QT and hospital tanks of different sizes because I will likely have several fish in QT for months and mixing fish in QT is a big no no. You want to gauge the size of a particular QT by what you are going to put it in it. Generally QT will last 2 to 3 months and can be quite a bit longer so you will want to make sure the fish you intend to put in there is will be in as little stress as possible for that length of time.
