Question New 226 reef build-can I get started before the wood floors are stained?

We are building a house and have a spot prepared in the our utlility room to mount the tank which will show through to the wall in the family room. All of the interior painting/staining except for the hardwood floors, which will be hand scraped and then stained and polyurethaned at the very end of the construction process, which is two months off.

Not thinking about the staining of the wood floors, I had planned on filling it with water and beginning the rock structure next week. I then thought about the staining process and how caustic is was when we stained cabinets and was wondered if I could get by with keeping the door closed to the utility room and putting a tarp over the aquarium. I know that either the air or the heat will be turned on during this process, so I assume there will be some fumes in the utility room unless we close the vent.

Any one have thoughts on this process?
