Big deal or no?
Added some mushroom corals to tank and are doing well with dual t5 fixture, 108w total on a 72 gal bow.
Ordered the coral life 4 bulb 216 watt because the mushrooms seem to be reaching for light. Will this be a big deal move as far as a shock to the lifestock/LR/ and corals? When first added, i had them on the highest rock which is middle of tank and they werent stretching as much but felt they were getting too much water movement. Should i put them back up until new light comes in? Last edited by watermydoing; 02/19/2013 at 01:31 PM. Reason: Add new pic |

They do look like they are reaching. I think they will be fine down there until the light comes in but I also don't think it will hurt them to move them up until the light comes in either. They are pretty hardy.
When you do get the new light I would just run 2 bulbs for a few days they run 3 bulbs for several more days then turn on the fourth bulb. This will give everything time to adjust to the new light.
