scratched glass!
Recently came across a 125 gallon tank! There are a few minor scratches that I think can be buffed out, but my question is, there are 2 deep scratches that can be felt with my finger nail! Would the tank still be worth buying or would deep scratches cause problems down the road?

Unless they are very deep they pose no structural problems. Your post says glass but you mention buffing them out. Glass cannot be buffed out (well technically it can but doing so leaves visible waves and distortions) but acrylic can be buffed with good results.

Welcome eddie g
Depends on the price of the tank. The deeper scratchs are very unlikely to be a problem. Just a FYI ,I tried to remove scratches from glass before using cerium oxide glass buffing compound. Boy what a waste of time. So if the glass has no bad hard water stains [white deposits] and just the scratches you describe then it should be OK. around 125-150 for a used 125g + the stand. Good luck.
