Need advice please.
Please help.....At this point I am unsure what to do. I have a 75 gallon saltwater tank with a 20 gallon sump. I also have a protein skimmer on the side of my tank. I see inside my sump a have a very large amount of flatworms. I have a design I want to create for custom refugium/sump for my tank however, I won't be able to do it for a month or so. Also inside my tank I have spots of red bubble algae popping up everywhere. I am going frantic and unsure what I should for the bubble algae. If I let it go, it will eventually over take the tank. I take out the pieces of live rock or frags and clean in them quarantine area but grows back inside the tank. Emerald crab is not eating it. What should I do? Please help.

If you have algea that means you have excess phosphates and nitrates. How old is the tank? I have not heard of red bubble algea being part of the normal cycling process but hopefully someone more experienced will chime in on that.
For now I would suggest using GFO, macroalgea and skim heavy to eliminate the nutrient problem. |

everything looks good. tests come out fine. The tank is now 8 months old. It went through a month of cycling in the beginning. it was perfect tests. started adding a few little frags each month (careful to not jump in full force after cycle) to make sure everything was going to be ok. I have a few different types of zoa's, a kenya tree and duncans that are growing beautifully, xenias, mushrooms, polyps. I can't just start over when everything is growing well on the live rock.
