TEK T5 for 20 gallon SPS tank....

Hey guys,

So i Currently have a 20 gallon tank with a Radion Pro. Light has been great, but I really want to upgrade to the ATI t5/LED combo. Having said that, I don't want to upgrade uitil I build a larger tank once I buy a house 2 years down the road.

For now, I am looking to sell my Radion Pro, stash some money for future ATI T5/LED light, and go with a 4 bulb T5 fixture for now. I am looking at a TEK T5 fixture because it does not have to be hung like the ATI fixtures. I would love to do an ATI, but my tank is small and only 16 inches deep.

So having said that, would a Tek T5 with 4 ATI bulbs do the job on a predominantly SPS tank? I have a friend that is selling his 24 inch Tek T5 for $150 with legs. I would just need to purchase bulbs.

Thank for your opinions....

I think $150 is high if it needs new bulbs. That's another $100 right there.

I think you will love the light and your corals will too.

In 2 years the ATI will be out dated and new stuff will be available from them and other companies.

4x24 is going to rock a 20g.
I use them over 29g tanks.
