light pendants .... AIRMAX....air cooled light assemblys

is anyone using these above there tank , better question is , why are these not being sold to the reefer ? they may not be a high quality reflective mateiral , but i would think they would solve ALOT of heat issues with running multiple lights .... just hook them in series and have them vent outside or whever ever ....

I used to use similar air cooled reflectors when I was growing plants in college. They don't reduce the heat very much when you're talking about a 250w bulb, these are really meant for 1000 watt bulbs.

i never seen them before , and just thought it might be a good option when your running 4 of them over a 4x8 tank that is totally enclosed in a very small room . just trying to think of another option to help cool the room down in the summer months ..... i guess alot of it depends also on how big of a fan you have pulling air through them

They work better with suction pulling air up over the bulb and exhausting out the cooling port.
