Aqueon ProFlex Sump For 75g FOWLR

I'm setting up my 75 gallon FOWLR (well...still researching everything). I'm going to use 80lbs of reef saver rock from BRS and seed it with 10 to 20lbs of live rock from my LFS. I was originally going to go with a Fluval FX5 for all the filtration needs until the live rock took over at which point the FX5 would no longer run biomedia...just mechanical and chemical.

I recently came across the ProFlex sump Model 1. This is the largest model I can fit under my stand. It is rated for tanks up to 55 gallons with a maximum flow rate of 550 gph. Would this setup along with a skimmer work better than the above with the FX5?

Yes go with the sump. You won't be disappinted. I have a proflex as well but I'm thinking of upgrading to a trigger systems sump.

That sump is too small for a 75. Look into trigger systems. Worth it! Www.triggersys.com

I understand that the sump is a little undersized but it is the biggest sump I've found that will fit in my tank stand. With it's size would it still be a better option than the FX5 canister?
