If you can afford the Radions, what you pay in the radions I would buy the Vegas. But that depends on what type of reef you want. If its going to be mixed/softies then 3 should be fine. If its going to be SPS then I would suggest more.

For sps stay away from led in a big tank imho. Why? Well... here's why. Led's are coming up but they're not quite there yet imho. Metal halide and t5 reign supreme on big tanks imho. There's a reason why ATI (a light fixture staple) doesn't make an all led fixture. I'm starting to wonder if they'll ever be good enough to end all doubt. I just don't understand using anything but lighting that's guaranteed to grow and glow your corals. jmo

It will be a mixed tank of coarals i'd 65% softies the rest sps maybe some clams who knows as i go I really like Radions but i don't like the 2,000k price tag. Just keep going back forth whether to go big or go home cause the tank and all equipment comes in on Friday Thanks guys

Yeah more will be needed if you plant to do SPS 3 will not cut it and will have a spot light effect with shaded areas.

Vegas claim to have a 24x24 spread..cant say about Radions. I have a 180 6x2x2 with a lot of SPS and I have 3 Vegas and 4 T5s. My SPS seems to be coming along nicely. The growth is really starting to be very noticeable. The Vegas were installed in December to replace 3 MH Radiums.
The color is good with the T5 supplementation, How it would be without it I can't say. However I am still toying with the idea of going back MH\T5 or...since I am still wired for the MH..have all three LED\T5\MH going in my tank at the same time. The reason is I am still really nervous about adding new SPS to LEDs..the acclimation is very hard.

Hard to beat Radions.
I have 4 gen 1's on 2 tanks. The programming is what I really like.
