Using an old freshwater filter for QT question
I'm sure this has been answered before but searching I couldn't find it.
I am setting up my QT and I have an old Penguine filter that I used on a planted tank for a few years. After running it with a bleach solution for a few hours and letting it dry will it be okay to use for a salt QT tank? Thanks! |

just a good rinse and then dry will do it. freshwater bacteria cannot survie in saltwater nor the yrs worth of dryness. just clean the filters by rinsing them and the media if any and ur good to go.
