What The @#$% is that in my sock???
So I was cleaning my socks yesterday (that would be the socks on my tank. and I saw what looked like a piece of squid in it... When I pealed it off it was just snot. It has a pattern and pigment like something growing and not just something depositing... It must grow fast because that sock was there for only 6 days...

Polyclad flatworm. If there's one, there might be others. They are predatory on clams and snails.

Yep, looks like a big flatworm. From the description I guessed it might be some sort of sponge or bacterial slime, but the picture definitely looks like a flatworm. Might be time to get out the flashlight and prepare for some late-night detective work.

Darn thing is 2 inches across...
I look at my tank almost every night with a flash light. So I have one crocea clam.. should I do what?

Look at night, and turkey baster out any you see. Smaller ones generally like snails, but bigger ones will smother and consume our decorative clams.

You know I did a google search on Polyclad flatworm. The look more like nubi branch... This was just a mass of snot....no structure what so ever...
