Hanging Aquaticlife fixture

I have the 48" 6 bulb fixture and purchased the hanger kit. I was wondering if the ceiling studs are not directly over the center of the tank, what can I do to have it supported securely?
I cant move my tank as it is already up.

I was thinking of using toggle bolts if I cant find the ceiling studs. Will this be strong enough?
Anyone use toggler bolts?

I know others have, but I personally wouldn't use toggle bolts in the drywall for hanging that fixture; not worth the risk, IMO.

If you can access your ceiling, your best bet would be to add cross braces between the joists and then hang the fixture from them. Another option you have, which may not be the most aesthetically pleasing option, would be to hang your mounting system on the nearest joist, and then use another joist to run a length of cable to the other cable, effectively pulling it to center (this would be the red line in the following image). You could probably get it to where the support cable is much higher than the picture, making it look a little better.

I got lucky with mine, luckily my studs are right over my tank, it's just a tad to the right. If my studs were to be off by a lot, I was going to run two 2x4 screw them to the stud, then the light fixture to the 2x4. It would of probably look kind of tacky, but with molding to put around the 2x4, and paint it would look more presentable.
