Clownfish finally hosting my rbta
So after several months of trying the most ridiculous things to get my snowflake clowns to host my rbta I finally got the chance to push them along when my rbta split and it worked flawlessly and fast. Here is my training video, lol. Let me know what you guys think

That's awesome, they are loving that rbta. All they needed was a little nudge.

Nice vid... I love videos of how people do things with their aquariums. BTW I posted it with tweet and FB... Some of me buds from down south would like it.

Nice trick I like it.

Thanks guys. Im a little curious to see if they go to the other nem once I let them out of the breeder bix myself. I think I will leave them there for a few days to make sure they reallyvlike the nems first, lol

So I let the clowns out of the breeder box yesterday and was terribly dissapointed that they wanted nothing to do with the nem that was left in my tank. But..........when I got home from work today they were hosting the nem. Thank God, lol. Anyways here is my proof that putting tank bred clowns in a breeder box with nems CAN teach them to host them, lol
Sorry about the dirty glass, lol

Interesting, I didn't realize tank bred fish had to be taught to host anemones.

Yup. Not all but most tank bred clowns wont host an anemone. All clowns have a natural desire to host something but tank bred clowns usually end up just finding zoas or mushrooms or some other sort of coral to host.. Wild clowns are taught from the time they hatch that the anemone is a safety zone and typically dont stray too far from it once they take to the host.

Mine still swim around the tank but after a quick lap around the tank they shoot right back to the nem. Im sooo pumped that it worked, lol. I am currently housing my cousins 3 tank bred oscellaris clowns and am gonna try it on them also to further push my luck on getting clowns to host nems, lol
