skimmer problem
Any idea on what can make a skimmer not produce a thick foam?Im sure that the air hose is not blocked and pump is working properly.It looks like a new skimmer breaking in.not able to raise the level of foam.It was turned off for a day,does it need a period to break in again?

How long has the system been running? What skimmer do you have? Do you have a sump? What size tank? How much live rock? How much bioload?
Answering these will help.

The tank is 150 gallons with softies.It has been running for 2 years and 1 year with this skimmer.It is a Aqua Medic aCone 1.5.I keep several fishes.Everything was going well until yesterday that it stopped foaming.
