Powerhead?

i have a 300 gallon fowlr running for about 10 months. i'm having some cyano issues. i was looking to increase flow. and i was also reading how some people feel it is important to have good flow in order to keep detritus suspended. can anyone suggest a powerhead. my tank is 6' long. sounds like people like the vortech mp60 or mp40. i wasn't looking to break the bank. would the mp40 be powerful enough?

Mp40 isn't gonna cut it. For a 180 I would need three of them. Look at the wp40

2 WP-40's, one on either end and you'll be set! I have 2 running on a 180G, and have them turned down with a variable power supply due to them being to powerful for my LPS's. Best bang for the buck when it comes to powerheads!
