personally, I would just look around at lfs near you, find some that you like, and grab it. For that small amount, price isn't really a major issue. Just look it over well, and make sure you like the look of the store/tanks. Also, make sure that it has not ever been treated with copper or such if you're planning a reef.

The best place is a local fish store.

There is a HUGE difference between some stores "live rock" which is rock thats been sitting in tank water for a few months, and real, brought in from the ocean Live Rock, that will be covered in macro and micro algaes, and have a good chance at getting some awesome hitchickers

I have gotton 2 clams, 3-5 different sponges, 3 baby hermits, some different snails, 4 tubeworms, 5+ macros, a limpet and more! All from liverock

You want to get them locally so you can inspect them with a fine tooth comb, ask the store guy to pick them up and spin them around so you can see each side and see the bottom. If an animal falls out, tell them you still want it if its an interesting one.

At first i payed over 15$ lb for this terrible purple fiji rock that had no life what so ever, and then found some amazing florida LR for 9.99 lb that had all the life i mentioned above

gulfliverock.com is excellent quality (if you like a lot of "life" on your live rock) and prices are amazing

I would suggest getting GOOD holey base rock to start they are cheap too! If you don't know what you're doing then you can kill the live rocks while cycling!
