Brown algae

Hello all, I am having an algae problem. I've read that it's common and eventually it will go away. I've read to cut back on my lighting, I have a marineland led with a day and night setting. I have it on twelve hours each way, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks and God Bless!!

Should have added that its an 85 gallon reef tank, with livestock. Tank has been set up for two years, I acquired it two weeks ago. So it was drained and moved, I did a 50% water change last week

You might cut your lighting schedule down some, that should help a bit. Also, are you over feeding your fish? What is your filtration system like? Maybe in the move you stirred up a bunch of debri?

Fish were being overfed ( twice a day), I have cut them back to once every other day. I am running two fluval 305 cans. Without a doubt the sand got sloshed around in the move. I also notice some coralin on a few pieces of my LR
