Angel not Eating in QT

I recently added 2 new fish to my quarantine tank about 5 days ago.
A Regal Tang and a Lemarck Angel both about 2" in size.
As a preventative treatment I started Cupramine. Both fish appear healthy and handling treatment well.
The problem I am having ,I have yet to see Lamarch eat anything.Regal is eating everything.
I have tried different types of flake and granular pellet. He doesn't seem interested.
The LFS specific gravity was at 1.015 so I had QT at that when introduced.
Slowly raising it with a SW top off.Don't know if that has anything to with anything.
Any suggestions to get him eating?

try mixing garlic with food or garlic scent or extract. it should open up the appetite.
also monitor ammonia and nitrite. some times with addition of new fish bacteria colony is not big enough to neutralize all the ammonia produced so taking few days to catch up.
cupramine can also stress fish to where it doesnt wanna eat also a new tank can do the same.
so there are many factors.
garlic can usually do the job.
Good Luck.

If you can get any in your area or if you want to order them online try live blackworms. After reading many positive reviews I tried some when I purchased a CBB. It is a limited review, as I have only recently started feeding the blackworms, but they certainly seem to induce a natural feeding response from all of my fish.

If you haven't searched John Coppolinos (copps) write up and I did once see a short video of some of his presentation I'd do so. He covers QTinf angels and any other angel problem really.

GL angels are a beautiful fish. Hope it makes it.

Angels don't tolerate copper well. Cupramine claims to be a little gentler, but it's a very, very rough thing on them. It's an appetite suppressant and they are already problem feeders in qt. Use an ATO and scrupulously follow dosage directions.

I have tank at lower dosage of .4mg/l and AtO maintaining steady level.
Just trying to get him to eat.

Was the angel eating before copper treatment? I personally take a week before treating Just to make sure they are eating before treating with any meds just to get them nice and fat. Cupramine is known for making fish not eat. Maybe lower the level of cupramine and see what happens.

I haven't seen him eat at all.
I wanted to start Cupramine asap because I've had little luck with Tangs in past and also I'm newbie to quarantine tank.
Another lesson learned the hard way.

its ok no problem just run some carbon and do water changes which will get rid of copper.
once u have the fish back to normal eating and happy run hypo as angels are sensitive to copper or run cupramine then so u know fish are eating and healthy before treatment.

+1.
Also maybe look at the tank transfer method.
