AquaFX Barracuda 4stage
Hi everyone..
I won the raffle at the OSARS show in R.I.. Well too it out of the box today and it was a mess it was leaking bad. The connector between the fiber and carbon filter was cracked. Replaced the connector with the on from my old Coralife 3 stage 25 gpd. Then AquaFX forgot one of the O rings for the RO screw cover and then the waist water hose was leaking. From what I gather on Utube it is rated at 100 gpd. Now they state you have to have at least 40 psi for feed water. I have a little more than double that. I timed 1 gal of water it took 11 min 48 sec. That is roughly 122 gpd. Is that OK? Is it ok that the unit is producing 22 gpd more than rated. Paul |

I got my unit 7 years ago and love it. Temperature and water pressure regulate how much water you will get per day.

It's a 100gpd unit. Because of my pressure 90 psi. I am getting a flow rate of 122gpd.
A representative from Aquafx called me today. That was fast I called them at like 6:30 EST yesterday and got a call from them around 1:30 today. Well what he told me was the more the pressure the more efficient the Unit. AS a company man he told me no more than 80psi. But he said I should be fine or I could use a inline pressure reducer. Thanks Paul |
