Need recommendation from these two protein skimmers
I was planning going for a skimz sk181 or rlss r6 don't know which one would be better any thoughts? My sump where im placing it in the 2nd chamber is 10"x12" and as for height i have 23" thats not including the clearance to take out collection cup.

If it was me, I would go with the RLSS because they use a DC Pump and so you could use a battery to power it in case of a power failure. I have also read very good reviews of that specific pump the waveline DC3000. It's highly power efficient and you can control the speed on it. It would also fit nicely and leave some space as well @ 9x7x21

Do not use a skimz, the pump in them is no good. I have the sm161 and have got the pump replaced twice due to it be extremely loud and after the last replacement it still got noisy so I replaced the skimmer with a SRO DC diablo. Dead quiet skimmer and far better.
