maybe some bag burn from shipping...doesn't look too bad based on the pics...tough fish, keep the water clean and he should be fine...should def use prazi in your qt...hope you are qt him...

The container seemed packed well. The internal compartment was 12" x 15" with 5" of water. If its Bag Rub will it scar or return to normal?

It should return to normal. I like Stresscoat for stuff like this. I don't know for sure if it helps; buts it seems to and is very safe. I once left too open much space on a tank with a Harlequin Tusk. He jumped onto the carpet and I could hear the "splat" in the next room. My Springer Spaniel was pinning the fish with a paw and I rinsed the fish well. then lightly covered the whole fish with Stresscoat and tossed him back in the tank he's been fine since. I keep little bottles of Stresscoat near every tank.

I put stress coat with aloe on my hands if I have to handle any fish...agree, great stuff...
