Atman 2500 Pump Failure Rate

So I just had my third Atman 2500 fail. The first two were outright deaths on my wife's tank at her school, the last was a grounding failure in my tank. It runs but shocked the crap out of me (confirmed it was the skimmer pump). Has anyone else had this kind of failure rate? I have seen reference to a recall of them in Canada and from one dealer in London, but nothing in the US. The London dealer said they were selling them with a different pump entirely now. The US models still use the Atman.

I've had several Atman pumps and not once have any of them failed on me.

Yep, I am on number three or four now.

Atman pumps are quite reliable imo. I have two since 2011 that are still running.

YES - I ALSO had 3 Atman pumps go out on me.

Those things are so NOT reliable.
