Cannot really tell how it looks from the pic, is that hairy at all? Is that brown, green or red? Just want to make sure the lights are giving off the right color. How old is the tank? What are your parameters?

looks like cyanobacteria
how old is the tank? NO3 and PO4 levels? are you able to add extra flow to those areas? hermits could eat some. more of a flow and chemistry fix would be better.

The pic is pretty bad. I'll try and get a better one. It's sort of a green color. Don't think it's hair algae. More slimmy looking. The tank is about 3 months old. N02 are near 0 not sure about phosphates. I use rodi water and the Tds meter shows 0 coming out. I run rowaphos and carbon in my reactors. I may need more flow like was suggested. I only have 1 wp40 in there plus the little flow from my return pump.
Ammonia 0 Salinity is at 1.025 Temp 78-80 Ph 8.18 Calcium 500 ..high I know Alk 9.5 Mg 1600 also high I have a bunch of hermits in there but they all like to hang out on the rocks |

+1 cyano, comes in damn near every color possible. It grows in patches and they get stringy. Given time they will bubble up a bit as o2 gets trapped.

Some cowries will eat it but not a good solution. Best solution is to find the cause..ie not enough flow, heavy feeding, not enough LR for filtration. Find the cause fix it, also do small wc's and siphon out the patches you see.
