Help me out with pros and cons of 75 vs 125g
I just got into the hobby and got a 75g already running tank off of craigslist for 200. came with live rock, sand, 2 clowns, 3 different types of damsels, and a starfish. I purchased some inverts and have the tank running pretty solid right now with good parameters and all.
I was perusing craigslist and saw a 125g pop up with stand, homemade sump, pumps, and a few other things id need to get anyway for 275. I'm torn between just being content with my 75 and setting it up with lights, own sump, and the likes or going ahead and getting the 125 because it is such a great deal and that way i wouldn't have to upgrade in the future almost certainly. I would like a tang eventually, and my 75 just isn't big enough for most. Just give me some pros and cons, talk me into it or talk me out of it. |

Really, it just depends on your stocking plans. The 125 will allow a selection of about 8 more tangs to choose from. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1946007

Is this a reef tank? If so, the 125g is going to cost more to light year after year (electricity and bulb replacement) than the 75g. If your main focus is fish, the 125g will allow a lot more choices for bigger fish or schools of smaller fish.
