your best bet would probably be to buy here or from another forum's classifieds section; Most websites either charge relatively high prices for frags or shipping costs a small fortune.

some good sites include reefs to go, and surprisingly, live aquaria

Do you have a local reef store? If so they will usually try to order something for you. I have asked about certain corals before and they said they would order it for me.

You probably will not find shipping less than 30$ You are paying for overnight delivery, plus packing materials, heat/cold packs, time spent to bag and pack etc

LiveAquaria I belive is 39, but their packing and shipping is among the best. If you need to buy online, your best bet is to buy 3-4 frags from one vendor, add in the shipping, then divide by the number of things you bought to see the "per frag" price of the coral.

post deleted, i thought you were from the San Fran area. I was looking at the wrong post for your location. It might help if you listed where you were from though.

Live Aquaria's free ship is pretty low, only a couple hundred I think and they have a 14 day guarantee, great company. Used to live a couple hours from their DD shop.

I don't know about Greg but I kind of feel greedy having 3 LFS (4 if you count Petco, I don't) that carry reef products. You really never know how good you have it until other people are asking what to do.

Honestly, that 1.5 hour drive for $5 frags is a steal. You would save a ton on shipping AND you get to see what you get before you take it home.

This is true. I guess not knowing what kind of frags they are maybe the drive wouldn't be worth it.

Yea I'm pretty lucky here. I have atleast 6 LFS that specialize in salt water no further than 40 min away. The 2 that I frequent are about 15 min away in either direction.

Reefs2go isn't too bad, I order zoo frags all the time and to avoid the shipping charge, I buy 250 pods which comes with free shipping for only 9.99. That way my frags ship free as well. They have good customer service too so if anything doesn't make it, they credit you back the money.

I was just about to place an order for the 100 blue legged crabs for $19.99 deal that reefs2go has running right now and pay the shipping when I saw this! BRILLIANT.

pacificeastaquaculture.com has a large number of cheap frags for under 20$. Fortunately for me, zone one shipping is only $16... but that wouldn't be available to you in Wisc.

Cheap or inexpensive? There is a difference.
