Maroon algae..??
Im getting this Maroon algae covering parts of my sand and Live rock ... Could I manually go in and remove it .? if so what would be the best way ..??

I assume it's sort of slimy feeling. It sounds like cyano to me. ReefCleaners has a quick description and remedies about 3/4 down the page. The best way is to siphon it out as part of a water change, get control of your nutrients, and ensure you have good flow in the tank. It will probably take a little time until it is all gone.

If its cyano (which it sounds like it is) do just as break recommended, siphon it out. past that all i can recommend are regular water changes and watching your parameters

I have a siphon tube but it never takes the algae through the tube it self its sits in there and shoots it back in the tank.... is there a better way ..? at this point im willing to take a cup and scoop it out of the sand lol

Thanks a lot ive kept the light off . I did a water change and treated it with this stuff called slime it's been 24 hours and i already see a huge improvement.
