Stormx led controller
I have been researching and building my led setup, almost done with it, I have multiple controllers that I am building and fine tuning for me to decide which I want to use permanently. I had found a thread on here about someone building their own controller, and wanted beta testers. I contacted him and got one of the stormx controllers to try. I haven't hooked it up yet, but was going through final wiring plans and wanted to get on that thread and reread some of the posts he had up. Well to the best of my knowledge that thread is gone. So I googled stormx controller and a company named "coralux" is marketing these and are about to release to the public for 100 bucks. I got a practically free controller out of the deal, but I was under the impression that it was a fellow member on here building it, not a company. :-(

After hooking this up it is a great controller, trying to get all the settings right, the only question is do I have to ground all the pwm inputs. I put a common ground on the board itself and one pwm input and it seems to be working. But not sure if I need to ground all sixteen inputs considering I am using all sixteen inputs.
Hobbyist or company building this thing it is a great light controller. |
