What is this white growth on rock? and pistol shrimp Q
Just curious what is this
 Sorry forgot to rotate photo. I got a pistol shrimp and goby pair -- I did notice that the pistol shrimp was attacking a turbo snail, but I believe it was dead already. Is this normal that they eat the dead? He has also made a huge tunnel network under my rocks it is kinda cool along with the fact the goby paired immediately with him

looks like a sponge. harmless filter feeder.
anything dead in our tank wont last depending on size from few hours to days.
