micro bubble fix
Ever wonder how fountains in buildings get that glass rod look from the water stream? Banks of plastic drinking straws . They get all the molecules going the same direction. Don't know if it is from static electricity or friction or both.
Anyway water was very cloudy, I deduced it was micro bubbles, as water params where fine and the u tube on my overflow constantly filled with air. I have clear pvc tubing coming from my return pump. Bought coffee stirring straws , put them in the return line. Crystal clear water. Very little head loss. Bigger pumps require more straws , and a size reduction, start with big straws and reduce to smaller straws . Anyway, if you feel like a project, give it a shot. |

Never knew that! Awesome information and a nice DIY. Might want to post this over in that section with a more elaborate explanation.
