Can you mix chemical in the same container?
Hi,
My question is, can I mix below 3 chemicals together in the same container? Any chemical reaction i should worry about? 1. Red sea magnesium (dry), mix with water to last around 1 to 2 weeks 2. Red Sea calcium (dry), mix with water to late around 1 to 2 weeks 3. Kent super buffer dkh (dry), mix with water to last around 1 to 2 weeks I am currently doser manuly by hand each day and testing all 3 bi-weekly. it will be like if I can put them in the same container and dose by a doser. thanks, Frederick |

Alkalinity will precipitate the calcium or magnesium. So you can't do that.
If the magnesium supplement is a very good one then it has mag sulfate in it. That won't mix with calcium. There's a really good reason why everybody doses those three separately. It certainly isn't because we never thought of mixing them.

never a good idea to mix chemicals in general... rest David covered it.
If u decide to dose them into the tank. do them at separate times as well for same reasons stated above.
